Carringer and Art Direction

Chapter 3 emphasizes the importance of the art director in the production of films. The art director is responsible for the creative development as well as the personalization of film. Ferguson and Welles both have quite different personalities which affected the coming together of Citizen Kane. Ferguson was easy going while Welles was demanding and temperamental. I find it interesting that the actual script for a film does not contain all of the films/particular scenes information. I think this shows how Citizen Kane is brought to life by Ferguson.
